Maddie Denton Wins Fiddle Player of the Year at IBMA Awards

The 2025 IBMA Bluegrass Music Awards lit up Chattanooga Tennessee on Thursday night as the bluegrass world gathered to celebrate its best and brightest. Dozens of artists were recognized for their contributions to the music from rising stars to living legends.

For East Nash Grass, the highlight of the evening was Maddie Denton’s win as Fiddle Player of the Year. In her acceptance speech Maddie shared that she is a third generation fiddle player and dedicated the award to her late grandfather Clyde. Her mother, also a fiddle player, was in the audience to cheer her on making the moment even more meaningful.

We are endlessly proud of Maddie’s artistry, heart, and roots. She is carrying on a family tradition while carving out her own place in bluegrass history.
